ive heard this from Sheikh Umar during our Twins of Faith Conference last April:)
Imagine your a mom and your kid just came back from kinder. He comes to you and gives you a piece of paper. He says, "Mom! I drew a heart for you! I love you!"
It doesnt look like a heart, the scribbles are well, scribbles. Colors are everywhere. Its definitely not to your level of perfection. But this piece of paper becomes the most precious thing to you! it has made your day, your heart is glowing with warmth and love and you just cant help but cry tears of joy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our solah, our fasting, our ibadah - it may not be up to the level of perfection of Allah The Most High. but our effort, our strivation, our sincerity will be appreciated by Allah.
He loves us more than our mothers love us..
Allahumma inni asaluka hubaka,
Wa hubbaman ya hibuka,
Wal amal al-ladhi bel leghuni hubbaka,
Allahumma ja’al hubbaka a-habba alay-yai,
Min nafsi, wa-ahli,wa minal barrid.
O Allah I ask You for Your Love,
And the love of those whom You Love,
And the actions that will cause me to attain unto Your Love,
O Allah make Your love more beloved,
to me than myself, my family and even from cold water.
(At-Tirmidhi)
